Cast Iron Steak and Potatoes

Garlic and Onion Free Cast Iron Steak with Potatoes

Ingredients:

  • Your favorite steak (we always prefer New York Strip)

  • 1 pound baby potatoes, halved

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

  • Salt, pepper and paprika to taste

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

  2. Place the cast-iron skillet on the stove over medium-high heat.

  3. Season the steak with salt and pepper on both sides.

  4. Once the skillet is hot, add 1 tablespoon of olive oil.

  5. Sear the steak for 2-3 minutes on each side to get a nice crust.

  6. Remove the steak from the skillet and set it aside.

  7. In the same skillet, add the remaining olive oil and baby potatoes.

  8. Season the potatoes with garlic-free seasoning, salt, and pepper.

  9. Cook the potatoes for about 5 minutes until they start to brown.

  10. Return the steak to the skillet, on top of the potatoes.

  11. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and cook for 10-15 minutes, or until the steak reaches your desired level of doneness.

  12. Remove the skillet from the oven and let the steak rest for a few minutes before slicing.

  13. Serve the steak and potatoes hot, and enjoy your delicious allium-free meal!
