Skinny Margarita

A skinny margarita is a lower-calorie version of a regular margarita. It typically contains fewer calories because it uses less or no added sugars, syrups, or triple sec. Instead, it may be sweetened with natural alternatives like stevia or agave nectar. Additionally, a skinny margarita may have less alcohol content compared to a regular margarita, which can also contribute to fewer calories. Overall, a skinny margarita aims to provide a lighter and potentially healthier option for those looking to enjoy a margarita with fewer calories.

Skinny Margarita Recipe:

Ingredients:

  • 2 oz. tequila

  • 1 oz. fresh lime juice

  • 1 oz. fresh orange juice

  • 1/2 oz. agave nectar (we use a light variation)

  • Ice

  • Salt or Tajin for the rim (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice.

  2. Add tequila, lime juice, orange juice, and agave nectar to the shaker.

  3. Shake well until cold.

  4. If desired, rim a glass with salt or Tajin (our favorite) by running a lime wedge along the rim and dipping it in salt.

  5. Strain the margarita mixture into the glass.

  6. Garnish with a lime wheel.

  7. Enjoy your refreshing skinny margarita!
